The run has officaly started at 6th street.
Hooked and released my first Salmon of the year tonight. It was a fresh fresh silver (like I had just pulled it out of 180 foot of water on Lake MI). I let it go because it was foul hooked on the tail. It was such a nice looking fish I was half tempted to keep it but far to many people out there for me to do a stupid thing like that.
Saw 3 other salmon caught tonight and a couple of coho. All were a nice silver.
The number of people fishing has increased A LOT !!! Four days ago there were 10 of us out there. Tonight I counted 25 and another 8 fishing from shore. I'm sure by this weekend it will be a mad house. I'd suggest going in the mornings if you plan on going (not as crowded then)
