Biggest Fish On A Fly Rod

Although the biggest fish I've caught on a fly rod was a 15 lb steelhead. I think the most memorable was the 3 lb redear sunfish (photo attached) I caught earlier this year. I watched the fish follow the mini popper for a long time before it sucked it in. I was catching a lot of these fish earlier this summer along the shore line but can't find them in the lake anymore. The lake is only about 100 acres and 35 feet at it's deepest point. Does anyone know the patterns that redear sunfish follow in late summer/early fall on this type of lake in Southern California?
