I am in great fear of a pres who is against law abiding gun owners. No matter who gets in the white house, it is a real threat and i think the demo's, not matter which one will push for strict gun control.
Does a person who lives in Chicago, Detroit, New York, L.A., SLC, or any big city that has no intention of using a firearm for recreation or hunting, need to have an assault rifle or .50 BMG? Absolutely not. Having said that, there are plenty of executives and CEO's that enjoy target shooting and hunting. There are other people who own these guns that have no other intent but to kill people or rob banks. I have no use for an automatic weapon, but i think a person who falls under those categories should have every right ot own one. All that gun bans will do is keep them from law abiding citizens and hunters/target shooters. It will do nothing for the criminals that possess them. I think the govt.should do periodic checks on gun owners that have guns in their name and make shure they still have possession of them, and i also think there needs to be some sort of change in the documentation in firearms transfers. Offer severe penalty's for persons who violate those laws. I could sell all of my handguns to criminals and the only way anybody would know is if they got caught with them. I think this needs to be changed. Hopefully Osama will have the decency to respect law abiding gun owners constitutional rights. We'll see.[cool]
