im going to start putting my boy in next yr. the youth odds are very good he will draw a bull and deer before 15. as for myself i never put in for them. to many open bull spots with great elk. as for deer its getting alitle crowded even the bow hunt sells out. i still see alot of great bucks while scouting utah. thats why most the dads are putting the kids in if they dont draw they keep the youth points and should draw a tag before they hit 30 yrs old. i think the waiting priod should be 10 yrs so moore would get a chance a 1 hunt in a lifetime. i know a guy with 18 points and he is getting to old to hunt far from a road. i just bought a open bull tag this mourning. first hunt in 3 yrs for me. since the t bone at 60 mph on my side. i had to heal for a while. still cant bow hunt to hard to draw. another yr im back.
