this is pretty simple and basic. and all the mc corporations in the country would love this.....
univercial health care works like this.
[ul][li]it only provides the basics.[/li][li]it provides preventive health screenings for such things as measels mumps diptheria and other child hood things to wich in the state of michigan a child can not enter in to a public school with out having. [/li]
[ul][li]makes a lot of cents...[/li][/ul][li]It would make even a lot more cents if every McDonald's Wendy's Big Boy's and any other small food handling joint including those driving catering trucks were clean of flue virouses when they serve up the sandwich in a rapper that they handled...[/li]
[ul][li]I often wondered how many times over the last 30 years did I miss a days work or go in to work sick as a dog from virus transfer from a food rapper? [/li][li]it would have made a cent or two for me here that I figure....[/li][/ul][li]we have people working for minnimum wage, they get a job that lets say pays for better than a generic health care that univercial plan would cover. yet it may be 90 days, and yes I have seen jobs that take up to a year before health benifits kick in and I even remember having a job one time that took two years for optical and dental to kick in... so what happens if a man trips over a bannanna peal and lands face first in to a cream pie he was serving for disert to his kids and breaks an arm... "it didnt happen on the job, yet he cant afford a visit to a hospitol to get it set and put in a cast.[/li]
[ul][li]so ya here again it is basic, go in, get it set, put in a cast, and hope he can still do some kind of work in the shop in a few days...[/li][/ul][/ul]we had a program that provided just that kind of medical attention, It provided basic health care to individuals at low or no cost. It was called "Well Fair" It was paid for by companies who sent jobs over seas and brought product back here to sell. "put in place under the new deal during the rosesivelt administration" "who by the way found those lost chickens that were running around in the up town district and put them in the pots where they belonged.."[:p]
The welfair program had its problems, it allowed illeagle aliens to get on it and stay on it because they had no leagle show of suport like a job that paid taxes and such.. much like todays Social Security programs set up to help, guess who, the same illeagle aliens that were bleading the wellfair program... Thank You Mr Reagon and B1. for solving the wellfair delema by moving the problem over to the social security administration and bleading our seniors vets and working/disabled citicens.
Funny, the welfair departments are still in opperation, just no one is eligble to get anything other than temporary help provided you are a single mother with a kid under the age of 5....
beleive it or not, the univercial program is still in existance just under another name but not every one is eligable to receive the basic benifits...
Lets face the facts here, how many times have you gone to see a doctory in the last year? me "0" I supose I could have gone and gotten a flue shot. I figured hey, fish dont pass on the flew..
