It could be difficult to see them unless you have a contour map of the lake that you are fishing.
You may remember fishing there another time and finding out that you suddenly snag on something and are sure that it isn't a log. That could usually be a ledge or just a rock.
Your best bet is to rent or borrow a small boat and attach a fish finder. Go over the areas that you can cast to from the bank and take note of them. That will give you a better idea of the structure and depth that is out there.[cool]
