Using a snap instead of knotting?

I used to do that year ago. I learned over time that the lack of bites from some fish was do to the extra hardware present on the line.

Some species don't seem to mind. Others are scared off by the extra flash or sense of weight on the line.

As much as a pain in the butt it can be to tie and tie again, it is still recommended over adding extra hardware on the line.

What kind of treble hooks are you testing?? I have tested hook from over 60 manufactures. I may be able to give you a heads up on quality and function if you would like.[cool]
