Nampa ID Fishing
#4
I've fished Lake Lowell a lot in the spring and it is great for largemouth bass. Also perch and crappie. There is suppose to be trout but never have caught one. The lake is closed to boats from Sept 15 to April 15. You do have to have a nonresident fishing license. I don't know about renting a boat but that is the best way to fish the lake. The lake is full of water smartweed along the edges and can be as far as 50 to 75 yards out into the lake. The lake is down about 8 foot right now. The best places to fish from shore is along the dams or wherever the smartweeds aren't growing. The bass are usually along the edges of the smartweeds. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
