monofilament vs. flourocarbon

Flourocarbon is fine for any applications that you would be using mono for. Most of the time we use Flouro for leaders to cut down on the visibility for picky fish or to give us a little extra slip through structure.

It is just as strong as mono but your knots will have to change since the your knots can slip on you.

Tie it on using the double Uni knot, Bimini twist, Palomar or the Triliene knot. They usually hold up better.[cool]
