That's actually a pretty good idea!
It would have to be waterproof, of course. And relatively small... maybe have a short 'video' function, so that when you start reeling something in, turn it on and it goes while you catch.
There's something like this for hummingbirds. It's called a Nova, I think. It's motion-sensored, so it automatically turns on when a bird comes by, and takes a picture. That way, you don't have to be quick about snapping those quick little buggers! I want one, but they're about $200
