New! Daily So Cal Saltwater Roundup
#3

Hi there guys,

This Report is for May 11, 2003 (Sunday)

Sorry to again be late with a report but the fact is every area covered had awesome fishing counts today. Most of the boats I covering are again the 3/4 day open party boats.

Up North a Bit
Boats from three landings servicing the channel Islands area today caught limits or near limits of white sea bass.

In the LA/San Pedro Area
Locally, lots of barracuda were caught with bass, halibut, and a number of other species filling out the remainer of the counts.

However, the big excitement comes from Catalina with the yellowtail making a strong surge and actually showing up in the fish counts. Check your favorite landing for boat by boat counts. Good weather made for good fishing for bass and the usual suspects too.

A number of sportboats also experienced a yellowtail chomp at San Clemente with some respectable counts.

Down South
Boats like the missionbelle, Prowler, Chubasco II continue to hammer the yellows at the Coronados. Almost every landing has boats out there catching yellows.

Other
Seems like the Commercials are getting some albies around 60 miles out. Could this be the start of something beautiful?

You might want to check out some of the deals going on at the sportlandings now on overnighter boats and others. Besides some landings offering the regular buddy passes and or discounts, Long Beach Sportfishing has a few good offers to get you out there fishing for a little less of a hit on the wallet.
