My grandmother used to say that the bad smell in bluegill is caused by spawning stress, and may be followed by a die off, like the one two or three years ago at Twin Lakes. I always throw the stinky ones away and eat the rest.
Also, is the gate across the north dam locked now? It was open two weeks ago when I was there. [signature] |
