[cool]Hey dhoneh, you can hike down from either parking lot, the trails are good. However, the water is really warm now and the only thing I heard that is biting(sometimes) is catfish. You may want to try some of the other areas such as boxcar cove or the other turn outs south of 33 hole. They have trails that lead to the water as well.
