It is better to fish daylight hours during the New moon. That goes for fresh or saltwater.
It is better to fish the night time hours during the Full moon. Same for fresh or salt.
High tides are generally higher during the last waxing of the full moon up through the entire full moon.
Low tides will peak at the negative tide level during the new moon and usually during daylight hours.
You still get high tides weather it is New or Full moon. There is just a longer fishing cycle during the Full moon time of the month.
