New! Daily So Cal Saltwater Roundup
#2

Hi there guys

This Report is for May 10, 2003

Although this report is a bit late, as a matter of fact most all tomorrow's overnight boats have taken off to their destinations and reservations for tomorrows 3/4 day rides are closed for the evening. May be a lot of walk-ins at the landings tomorrow. Mother's day or NOT!!

Late Report

Not much to report from the Santa Barbara boats on the glamor fish due to weather. Seems like the weather has kept the boats normally hitting the Santa Cruz/Anacapa islands quiet too.

The big news is the OUTSTANDING fishing at Catalina for the WSB. The Freedom, Tracer, Big Game 90, to mention just a few boats, got good counts today. Lots of sportboats took advantage of the improving weather for the island. The Victory got good counts of bass. The yellows have showed too but catching is spotty.

Just as Exciting was the yellowtail bite that went off at San Clemente today. Sportboats that went to Clemente caught decent numbers of fish.

The fishing for the major sportboats (nearly 20 in the reports) going to the Coronados out of San Diego accounted for over 300 yellowtail today.

Other News
Although not always there when you need them, the squid boat, the Pacific Carnage does have squid avaliable for sale on occasion.

The Newport Bait Barge may be in operation soon as reports show maintenance being pulled on it and hopefully it'll be moved into an 'open for business' position soon.

The LA harbor seems to be full of bait and San Pedro Bait Barges have a nice mix of anchovies as well as sardines.

Til Tomorrow Evening,

JapanRon
