Rig a topwater frog weedless and throw it out past the spot you want to fish and small twitches on the rod till you get it back to you and throw it out again... keep doing this and you will attract attention from the bass in the hole... thats what I would do..... I would also do this on the whole pond... Bass will hide just below the weeds and they will see the frog coming by them and bust up thru the weeds to get at it.... Early morning just at daylight best and evening just before dark.... I would use at least 30 lb braid spyderwire or gorilla braid... have fun.... let me know if this works for you....
