Hey Kayote...
Ya, like I mentioned, I'm living in Antioch. There's a couple of different things that promoted my move from UT, but the main reason is basically because my family in UT moved to Las Vegas. LOL. They moved to vegas and I still had half of my high school senior year left. I figured I was sick of going to school anyways, so I decided to try coming here to CA to live with my dad and step-mom for a little while and finish off my high school credit by just doing packets (which I should be dun with in a week or two...WooHoo!) Then once I get high school done and out of the way with here real soon, I'm going to start focusing on the whole bass tournament scene a little more and start really working towards gettings a boat (which my goal is still to have by the end of the year...LoL). Then next year I'm going to try the whole professional bass fishing thing for a year and just kind of have some fun with that and see how it turns out for me.
As for the rents and quality of life in CA...in all honesty, from what I know Utah has become practically just as bad as California as far as housing and living costs and such. Traffic is also the same deal...it's no worse here than in UT. So if these are the reasons that are holding you back from looking more into it...It's not much of a huge difference. I would look into it a little bit more if I were you if you are serious about it. And finding solitude isn't always much of a problem either...especially if you fish places like the Delta where even though you've got hundreds of boats out on the water, there are SO many backwaters and sloughs that you can easily go some places and not see another boat all day long... hehe [cool]
