No muske for Pineview, why not pike? Any Problems?
#15
well i'm not agenst or for killing the pike.. i realy dont think there are that many being cought in yuba to realy make much of a diffrence one way or the other.. fishermen realy dont make a big diffrence in the numbers of fish like that. .01% maybe at best.

i realy dont think the crash of yuba was coused by anything more then the lack of water in the drout years. and i would put money on the carp being more at fault than any other spices in yuba for finishing what little cover there might be left when the water drops like it does there.. and the carp in yuba well eat the fry of all the other fish.. and are the biggest % of biomass in the lake.. get the carp out and there would be a great inprovment in the system as a whole!

i do agree with ya that the pike now have the upper hand.. and i realy think fish like pike and walleye instinctley know when other fish are a thret to them and target there fry to eliminate the thret.. as you say the eye's may never return to the good old day's.. only time will tell..
