No muske for Pineview, why not pike? Any Problems?
#9
the pike were not planted in Yuba they moved down the sever river from redmonds... and there is the best example of why pike should not be planted..
look at redmond when the pike first showed up in there. (there is conflicting stories on how they got there) but when they first showed up they did great! they got big fat in the 10 to 20 lbs range.. nice fish! that was as big as they ever got and now after they have ate most all the food out of there you can go down and catch 1 to 3 lbs pike all day long.. maybe ya just might get lucky and catch a wopper of 6 lbs.. but it's been a long time that i have seen any that big come out of there..

yuba in the past has been diffrent than redmonds.. in the past there were just never that meny pike in yuba.. tell the big drow down... i think the walleye in yuba were keeping the pike in check i have no proof of that just what i think.. but the tables have turned i think.. there are more pike in yuba now then ever before.. only time will tell if it go's the way of redmond or stay's a blue ribben pike fishery...

my money is on the pike cleening it out!
