what is the best thing to use in summer

I use predominantly soft plastics in the summertime, but most lures will work if you find the right areas and have confidence in what you're throwing. now is the time to be crankin', burning spinnerbaits, throwing topwaters, etc. fast-moving baits work better now than most times of the year. if you fish soft plastics - don't get caught up in fishing them really slow just because they're soft plastics. granted, you'll have to fish them slow sometimes...like if you've located fish in more open areas on a really hot day. for the most part, though, throw those fast baits and try and generate reactions!
