Politicians, a Broken Record on Oil
#9
KokaneeReaper, I know that it is a popular idea to think that the oil companies own the politicians, and to a certain extent I agree but there are a few flaws in that logic.

Ya your right there are few flaws in that mind set but my main point of view is that oil companies have such a strong standing with government officials that it does not surprise me we are in this situation. There have been few speak up about alternatives to oil in the past well not much has came from it as you also know I have herd allot of talk come from democrats and republicans and have seen very little action on either side. Everyone is sick of hearing them TALK about it and we would like to actually see something accomplished for a change.Honestly I don't think the oil companies really care right now who gets into office this election they have us over a barrel pun intended [Wink] I think the extreme right and left view held by democrats and republicans in office right now is smoke and mirror treatment to confuse the American people I just can not understand how you can have that many well educated people with the power to make changes in our country for the better to not be able to sit down and come up with some serious solutions to the problems we face as a country I mean come on this party that party and ego trips it sounds like High School BS
Basically we should have convenient alternative energy by now they saw what was coming in the 70's
