family fishing near Rexburg

Hello all, my family is having a reunion over the 4th in Rexburg and everyone is from out of state. I was put in charge of a fishing day and wondered where a good place to fish would be. I have fished the Snake before but there will be little kids so that is out of the question. Are there any small rivers or lakes nearby that are good to fish? Also what is good to use? Flies, spinners, bait? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
