Skate Creek can run fast at times. When fishing the heavy currant times, you will need more weight. Use only what you need to keep control of your bait.
Sometimes it is better to go lighter. Cast upstream and let your line drift. Allow it to flow into the eddys or lower current areas where the fish will be more likely to be hanging out.
Bright, shiny spinners work good also during fast and slow current conditions.
