Welcome to the board. There are a bunch of us BFTrs from the Rexburg area. Biglew gave you a pretty good list.
The water will change so much over the course of the next couple of months that it is difficult to tell you what to do. I would ask specific questions for the stretch of river that you intend to fish.
I am more of a lake fisherman than a river fisherman but I do occasionally get out on the rivers.
If you are new to flyfishing I would start on warmriver, birch creek, or the Ashton res section of the Henrys Fork to work on your skills and then you can apply them to the larger waters when you are confident in your cast, mend etc...
