The law is that you HAVE to have any motorized water craft reg.
The fun begins when you go to the DMV. They ask for a title. You advise you dont but have a reciept. They then ask for the hull number. You look
and advise them you dont have one. They advise you you need one for a title. Title? They then advise you need to have the police verify the hull number (that doest exist ). You then call the police and ask the dispatcher to fulfill your bizarre request. Cop comes around not sure what to do, you tell him/her you dont know either you just want to use your boat without getting hassles from the fish cops. He/she laughs, fills out the form with the hull number YOU created (BTW mine was DMV5364SUX) then its off to the DMV you go.
To be honest with you guys, it was easier for me to get my green card than to legally use my motorized pontoon!
BTW rippin-lips, I caught one 12" channel trolling a crank bait. Should have bought my anchor!
