I was in FT. Meyers las month and the fishing was also pretty slow. The tarpon fishing was off but I lucked out, after taking the video you see on the right bar of this page the fisherman from Indiana invited me on his boat and let me catch one of those jewfish (not as big as the one in the video but probabley close to 200 lbs.). It was really good of him and the guide he was fishing with.
I want to try to get back for Tarpon later next month.
