It's been the coldest, wettest year since 1930. I don't think global "warming" is occuring. All signs, including the mild warming trend we experienced,
dly indicate another ice age. Not in our life times. We won't see a change. Our kids, kid's kids, and so on's lifetimes, sure.
I don't blame the oil companies for not allowing electric cars. Blame the car makers. Like was mentioned above, Ford is taking great lengths to go against that trend.
Cutting gas production and use, well, it won't help. Stopping the Amazon and Congo jungles from being demolished? Yup. Ding ding ding. There's the problem. We didn't have smog, any kind of a warming trend, or the thinning of the ozone until what, the 1950's? Blame cutting the rain forests down for cattle, which produce more gasses than our cars, the lack of vegitative recrutement in the jungles, and nuclear weapons. Don't blame using fossil fuels.
BTW, it takes more fuel to generate electricity than to power a car. This message I just wrote took around the equivilent of 5 gallons of gas to write and send via internet. Enough said.
