Hey Kodiak1,

We used a 4" lead jig off Ucluelet Bay on Vancouver Island to catch salmon. Solid lead painted blue along the top and silver along the bottom. Looked like a little fish. That may be the ticket.

I'll try to find some info on those lake trout/splake. I'm sure they got to be in there, sure is deep enough.
