Hi there Fishslayer,
Yer tellin' me. I've got so many crunch marks on my lime green jig that I'm worried about the rest of the paint job! ha ha I did great with it last season.
There is another jig that has come out but is not as well known as the others mentioned. It's called a 544. I've got a mint green and a dark purple to light purple to white center model. Have you used any of these guys yet Fishslayer? WSB, yt, and barries all seem to like them. I've got the surface swimming model but it's a little heavier than some of the other traditional surface jigs. I myself prefer a jig that takes a medium slow retrieve to keep on the surface. (all things being equal) I've seen it's design before in some of the old Bob's Special jigs with the two level surfaces on the back side.
Seems the yt liked the dorado colors at the Coronado's last week. Some still like the old standard chrome and blue or blue and white though.
Please let me know of any hot combos you come across here early in the season.
