My wife and I fished L.P. this morning. Probably the slowest fishing we have had there in the last two years. We fished for two hours w/o a bite. Finally, when we got near the submerged island past the narrows, we found some kokes. Landed 4 nice ones, and lost a couple. Three came off the lead core, and only one off the downriggers. Kokanee trolls w/ a wedding ring and shoepeg seemed to work best. The pole with a dodger never had so much as a bite. Likewise with a pink mini-spuid, which I have been wanting to experiment with. (My cousin did quite well last week with a hootchie (spuid). Go figure. 15 feet seemed to be the magic number. We graphed tons of schooled fish at 175 and 225. They appear to be large fish. I haven't ever seen this before. They were at the end of the narrows, and the wide area beyond. I would graph 50-100 fish in a school. I would sure like to know what they are.
