Here's my measly part of the report. Bassrods will have to give details, like the water temperature, depth, exact locations, and stuff.
I arrived at about 7 A.M. *mutters about this being awake at the butt-crack of dawn nonsense* By then, he'd already caught one (or at least kept one) bass.
The first hour was really good. We used plastic grub/worms in a green color. I got my first one around 7:45, but let it go because it was over 12". Then I got another one I could keep. Of course, me being senile, I don't remember exactly how many I got. 4 or 5, I think. Kept 2, let 2 go and lost one...I probably didn't set the hook well enough. But it was pretty big, so it would've been set free anyway!
Then we tried minnows on a drop shot...but whether it was "wrong" bait, or the weather, or whatever, it got rather slow after about 8:45, and started raining/hailing about 10:15. Bassrods took me back to the dock, because he said he didn't want my little self getting pneumonia. But I think it was really him being tired of me whining about being cold
Me and his dog had a whining contest...she wanted to go play on the shore, I wanted more sunshine and warmth! It got windy at times, and I don't mind the actual wind itself, but the fact it makes me colder!
So, it probably wasn't the "fastest" day for catching stuff, but at least I finally got somethin'!
And yes, I'm sore. Mostly my legs, but it's probably because I'm not used to balancing on a boat for 3 hours at a time. Hands cramped up a bit, from all the reeling (especially since I had to actually fight something today!), but they're okay now.
I'm going back to bed!
