Yes, the water is high, warm weather and all. That's why i sugest fishing below dams, less water.
When you see a hatch like that you really need to look at the fish, where are they taking the bug? on the surface? or just below?
In most cases it is just below, I don't fish dries in a hach, I fish emergers. I fish nymphs as emergers.
Be the caddis, your under a rock, you see the sun, you swim furiously to the surface, there you struggle to shuck your skin, then you float breifly and take to the air. Each cast should have that sequence.
Don't forget big streamers in this fast water, fewer fish, but big ones.
