I don't know how the popultaion is doing right now. I do know that the DWR set out 2 years ago to erradicate the species as well as others in the Uinta, Duchesne, and Green rivers. I haven't heard of any good catches since then. I didn't even bother going out for them this year. I have the report from the green if you are interested. I understand the desire to have the native species protected in these waters, but sometimes it is possible to create a grand fishery at the same time. All of the species targeted, are top predators of small minnows. Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth, and larger Channel Cats. If I get any information of catches still happening, I'll let you know.
