Very smart to take Rob up on that offer! The man knows his kokes. Come to think of it... maybe I'll get in on that! LOL
The natural gas route is a good one, but consider this... there is talks (maybe its already official?) of a pipeline from WY to somewhere in the midwest. This would make the market larger, and therefore increase the demand for natural gas. Even without the pipeline, all of this rush to convert to natural gas only increases the demand, lowers the supply, and the prices will climb. As oil becomes more expensive, natural gas will follow suit. Right now you're still in that lag between conversion... but, the price hike is coming.
Now, hydrogen... that stuff is intriguing! Not only is it carbon free, but its renewable (some call it the "forever fuel"). I recommend reading the book The Hydrogen Economy by Jeremy Rifkin. Its a little bit alarmist, but a good read.
