The Z-Axis is Sages top of the line LIGHT weight fast action, like Winston's BORON II (BIImx) I have the BIIx in an 8 weight and it is lighter than a couple of my 5 wts. I have no idea on the switch rod end, but it wouldn't surprise me if this was the blank they use because of how light and the action.
The ZXL is a slower action and more like my JWF. It would also be the more closely matched to my LL which Sage no longer makes.
