Idaho Falls Fly Show
#10
I have four boys my two oldest are 8 and 6. They both have 6ft 3weights and love fishing the creeks and small ponds for bluegill. My 8 year old is getting quite independent. He can get a good drift on a dry fly, set the hook and release his own fish. The only thing I have to do is fix his wind knots, and fix more wind knots, and retie broken leaders left in trees, and fix more wind knots.[crazy]

I think the picture is of PaliSades Res. Last fall it got down to something like 10% of full. The South Fork of the Snake comes out of PaliSades and is still very, very low. They are letting out as little water as possible until the farmers call for it. We have 105% snow pack so things are looking up as long as the weather stays cool. The problem is that most of the water rights are owned by people outside of the valley, so local conditions have little to do with how much water is called for.
