Old Web Site vs. New Web Site
#57
[font "Comic Sans MS"][size 2][#002850]I am always surprised about complaints of too many advertisments. Personally, I don't give a dang about how many adds there are ... pile them on. My eyes go right to what I am looking for and right past the adds that I don't want to see. Heck, I don't see any more ads than before.

If the small hand full of members that are willing to pay for membership think that that would fly for more than a month, I say go for it. and right on their tail I would take the opertunity to set up a fishing Web site with lots of adds similar to the old site but with reasonable user's suggestions highly respected and implimented.

My biggest beef is that it is very un-user friendly to get to the Utah Message boards. The old site had the states boards listed right up front. How bout a big ole bold link to "CHECK OUT YOUR STATE'S FISHING REPORTS" right up front.

The font issue that Ripinlips brings up about the size 10 font is something I pointed out to TheAngler and others 4 years ago. Still same ol ... same ol: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gfo...82#p169782

Here's another suggestion I offered 2 years ago: Give us a link right up front to search through registered users so that we can pick their name and send them a PM ... supper easy stuff for even a sloutchy Web designer to do. Any bets that we will ever see such a simple good idea implemented here?

I was really hoping to see great stuff with the new and "improved" site. I am not impressed.
