Greetings,
My name is Laron Johnson and I go by OvidCreek. I have lived in Rigby for the past eleven years, and except for my years at Utah State I called Bear Lake Idaho home. I use and hopefully contribute to this site frequently from November to March as I am an avid ice fisherman. Spending time with my eight year old son is probably my biggest draw to the ice. Had one of the best ice seasons this past winter for the first time ever I was never skunked. I wish I had time during the year to fish more, but my life is pretty schedueled (TEACHING, GRIZZLIES, WILDLAND FIREFIGHTNG, TRAVEL ECT.). Honestly, I think I fish open water only four or five times a year[
] Love it--just don't make time for it. I think if I ever learned the fine art of fly fishing I would become a hopeless man of obscession. I think my biggest goal regarding fish until November is getting out my pitchfork and slaying carp this May and June in the Bear Lake Valley.
