Coming to Echo Bay LM Easter - Fishing Advice?
#12
Well got back last Tueday. Great time with good weather except for Sunday was quite windy. Fishing was slow and appeared so for everyone around. Finally caught one striper, 2lber, up towards overton marina on Monday drifting with an anchovie tipped with a squid as one of the guys told me to do. Had a few more hits too but could not hook em. Fished in about 35 feet of water. People who are staying and fishing there (snowbirds) said that they were doing better at 50' to 60' slow trolling 1.0 mph or less in 70 to 100' of water. Only brought medium tackle and left trolling poles and leaded line home so that was out. Surface water temps varied from 47 to 55 degrees which if I understand is still a little cold.

Can't wait to come again. September probably.

Ice is starting to come off up here so it going to be cats, wipers, walleyes, lmbs, trout, crappie, and tiger muskie time.
