You don't have to go far from Boise; in fact, you can stay in the cilty limits! Area ponds, either those in Boise or Wilson Ponds in Nampa, are regularly stocked. The Boise River was stocked two weeks ago, and can be good for both trout and whitefish. Lucky Peak is coming up 1 1/2 feet a day, and the fishing is terrible. C.J. Strike has come on recently, I have heard, for trout off the bank. Use the usual, a bit of worm and 'mallows. It's an early morning bite often. Farther away, the Oster Lakes, part. #1, is supposed to be producing some trout. If you are new to Boise, it is a nice drive this time of year. Visit the National hatchery, and explore the 1000 Springs. Mike
