Like WindRiver I also fish the Preston Area lakes a lot and I have to agree with him, end of May is the time for Bass up there. You can still catch them, but like most other lakes you have to sloooooow down. When the water temps get higher up there is when it is really fun to fish for Bass. Trout on the other hand I have caught throughout the year (not ice fishing, I dont ice fish) usually just "long-lining" Rapala's. If you need any other info just ask or shoot me a PM. I am usually up in the Preston area 3-4 a month when the ice comes off the lakes.
