I am by no means an expert, but I fish the Preston area in the Spring. I usually can catch some fish at the beginning of May however the fishing really picks up around Memorial day depending on the weather. Historically I have had my best weeks the week after Memorial Day. That is just my experience, hopefully others will chime in.
