So, no matter what we do, these fish will "ultimately go extinct"? Hmmm...that is a pretty bleak outlook. Wouldn't that be like me saying that no matter what we do or build that your homeless man is going to remain homeless?

Or, better yet, isn't that like Bob saying to Doug, "No sense in steering now" when their car lost its brakes in the movie Strange Brew?

Personally, I am like Doug who responds, "Shut up, you steer this thing!" I really believe that we should spend tons of money regardless of the outcome because of their potential worth...a value that we have no way of knowing!

So, in response to the question why not spend money on food or supplies or whatever to save the dying children...my answer is simply this: Who is to say that these fish can't be the answer to a whole multitude of world problems? Afterall, didn't our starving Utah ancestors survive on june suckers?
