[#0000ff]I can tell you, after a lot of experimentation, that although blue is a good color (combined with chrome) for a hardbait, it does not seem to help much with jigs for casting or bottom bouncing. Plain white works just as well and is easier to make and fish.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]for the eyes, use chartreuse with a black dot. I use that color eye on most of my lures and it seems to outproduce most others. (see attached pics) Most prey species have eyes that look more like chartreuse with black pupils...especially shad.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I use white and diamond dust glitter flakes over white paint on most of my white stuff. But, I also do a light "highlight" of fine silver or silver hologram on some. The extra bit of sparkle does improve appearance.[/#0000ff]
