Yeah I have never done it due to the fact that I think it's ridiculous. Going on 4 years now. I don't know anybody who has gotten a ticket for it either.
Last year my nephew and I were out in the middle of a lake on toons, both of us with motors and no plates and a ranger came by in his boat and was checking us out with a spotting scope. Watched us fish for a bit, me using 2 poles (that part was legal) and never said a thing and drove away.
Of course this is here in Utah so I don't know what you'll come up against! Of course I'm a rebel!![pirate][mad][
