Catch & Release may not be Harmless?

Ok to better improve survival rate of catch and release move quickly to remove hook and release fish asap. I suggest using a barbless hook or remove the barb yourself by smashing down the barb with needle nose pliers. The barb will do alot of damage. If a fish is bleeding from the gills keep it as it is as good as dead anyways. The longer a fish is out of the water the less likely it will survive. Catfish can survive anything I don't care what anyone says the only way to kill them is to fillet them alive as cruel as it sounds I have cracked them with hammers and large rocks and every other trick in the book and they always fail to kill them. So just fillet catfish alive asap. If anyone knows how to put them out of their misery quickly let me know as I am still looking.
