You should look for a 4-stroke. No problems with fouling plugs and they are generally a little more torquey (if thats a word[
]). I've got a '70s 6hp Evinrude on my 14ft and it runs great, it's just a pig to start. I'm looking at a new Honda 15hp. I let you know how it goes when I pick it up.
