Ririe Update 2-10-08
#14
Well four of us went up to Ririe on Friday we got there about 1 pm and fished until 6 pm, we had 18 holes between the four of us spread out for about 40 yards and at all different depths with all different jig and bait combos, and we only caught three fish, one little perch, one starving cutthroat, and one big fat sucker. And the wierd thing is we caught all three of those fish on the same pole, it only had an old eagle claw hook couple of sinkers and some worm on it. So much for spending hundreds of dollars on tackle all you need is a good old eagle claw and some garden tackle. It was really sunny that day and I don't know if that kept the kokanee from biting or what. We talked to several other groups of people and they all had about the same luck as we did. The best days of fishing I've had up there this winter have been on cloudy snowy days, but I am no expert.
