Well, you've got to look at need and how much are the cast nets going to cost versus how well they will work. Have you actually tested the theory to see how much better a lighted net works? I mean honest to god tested it, over and over, and measured the results? Have you tested it on various types of bait fish to see the effects? This is probably why the net companies aren't willing to take the risk, there's nothing backing the product to show it's effectiveness. In all truthfulness, it's a good idea. But, on that same note, I would not buy a lighted cast net. There is no advantage to it for me. A plain old double leaded net does the job in one throw, I don't need an additional advantage. Daddy always told me, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Well, the conventional cast net isn't broke.
