Best pole and reel for bluegill/bass............catfish/carp?

do you think my Zebco Genesis, Zebco Mercury with 33 Rod, and my Bass Pro Enticer will work fine if i clean them up?

the Bass Pro Enticer is a pretty nice rod and reel. It was 80 dollars
would it be best to use 12 lb test on all my poles?
